Effective date: October 7, 2026
Last updated: October 7, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and MR IT LLC ("MR IT LLC," "we," "us" or "our") governing your access to and use of https://mritllc.com, including all articles, guides, calculators, interactive tools, forms, newsletters and other content and features we make available (together, the "Website"). MR IT LLC is located in New South Wales, Australia, and serves clients in Australia and internationally.

Please read these Terms carefully. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded (see Section 11). Section 16 explains how disputes are resolved: first informally, then by optional mediation, and then in the courts of New South Wales.

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclaimer & Editorial Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Key points in plain English

Your consumer rightsYour rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and other laws that cannot be excluded, always apply. These Terms do not take them away.

Governing lawThe laws of New South Wales, Australia apply, and the courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
DisputesTell us about a problem first and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. If that does not work, either of us may propose mediation, and either of us may go to the courts of New South Wales.

2. Eligibility and acceptance

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Website's forms, subscribe to our newsletter or engage our services. The Website is not directed to children, and children under 13 may not use our forms. If you use the Website on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" includes that organization.

Your continued use of the Website after we post changes to these Terms means you accept the updated Terms, as described in Section 19.

3. Use of the Website

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to access and use the Website for your own informational, educational and non-commercial purposes, and to evaluate or communicate with us about our services.

The Website is free to read, and visitors from many countries use it. We do not require you to create an account. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Website, including any article or calculator, at any time and without notice, and, subject to Section 11, we are not liable to you or anyone else if we do so. We do not guarantee that the Website or any content will be available at any particular time or location.

You are responsible for the devices, software and internet connection you use to access the Website, and for any fees charged by your internet or mobile provider. If you access the Website from outside Australia, you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where you are.

4. Educational content, not professional advice

MR IT LLC publishes personal-finance guides, checklists, examples and tools to help readers understand general concepts and organize their own thinking. All content on the Website is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.

  • No advice. Nothing on the Website is financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, credit or insurance advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, financial product or service.
  • Not financial product advice. Our content is general information only. It is not financial product advice for the purposes of Australian law, and MR IT LLC does not hold an Australian financial services licence or an Australian credit licence.
  • Jurisdiction-specific content. Our guides mainly reference rules, institutions and resources in the United States, such as the FDIC, IRS and FTC. Those rules may not apply where you live. Readers elsewhere, including in Australia, should check local rules and official resources.
  • No professional relationship. Reading the Website, using a calculator, subscribing to our newsletter or contacting us does not create an advisor-client, fiduciary, lawyer-client, accountant-client or any other professional relationship.
  • Not individualized. Our content does not take into account your personal financial situation, objectives, needs, risk tolerance, tax position or legal circumstances.
  • Consult a professional. Before making financial, tax or legal decisions, you should consult a qualified and, where required, appropriately licensed or registered professional in your jurisdiction who can review your specific situation.
  • Your responsibility. You are responsible for decisions you make and actions you take based on information from the Website.

MR IT LLC is not a bank, authorised deposit-taking institution, broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, financial adviser, credit provider, credit counseling agency, law firm or accounting firm. We do not hold client funds, do not provide investment advice and do not sell financial products. Additional information about how we research and review content appears in our Disclaimer & Editorial Policy.

5. Calculators and interactive tools

The Website offers calculators, planners and self-check tools, such as budget, emergency fund, debt payoff, automation planning and security self-assessment tools (the "Tools"). You agree that:

  • results produced by the Tools are estimates and illustrations only, based on the inputs you provide and simplifying assumptions built into each Tool;
  • the Tools may not account for factors that affect real outcomes, such as taxes, fees, compounding conventions, variable rates, minimum payment changes, inflation, penalties, timing of payments, currency differences or changes in your circumstances;
  • results are not offers, quotes, approvals, predictions or guarantees from MR IT LLC or any financial institution;
  • you should verify any result with your lender, card issuer, financial institution or a qualified professional before relying on it; and
  • the Tools run in your browser, and the values you enter are not sent to us (see our Privacy Policy).

Self-check tools, such as a security score, provide general guidance only. A favorable score does not mean your accounts or devices are secure, and an unfavorable score does not mean they have been compromised.

6. Intellectual property

The Website and all of its content, including text, articles, graphics, logos, icons, illustrations, page layouts, calculators, source code, software, compilations and the selection and arrangement of content, are owned by MR IT LLC or its licensors and are protected by Australian and international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. "MR IT LLC," our logo and related names and slogans are our trademarks. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

6.1 What you may do

  • Read, view and use the Website and Tools for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • Print or save a reasonable number of pages for your personal reference.
  • Share links to our pages on social media, in emails or on your own website.
  • Quote brief excerpts, with clear attribution to MR IT LLC and a link to the original page, for criticism, review, news reporting, education or other purposes permitted by fair dealing or fair use exceptions under applicable copyright law.

6.2 What you may not do without our written permission

  • Copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, translate or sell our articles, guides, worksheets or Tools in whole or substantial part.
  • Embed, frame or mirror the Website or any Tool on another site in a way that suggests it is your content.
  • Use our content to create competing products, courses or publications.
  • Use our content, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune or benchmark machine learning or artificial intelligence models, or to build datasets for that purpose.
  • Remove or alter copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices.
  • Use our name, logo or trademarks in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or affiliation.

For permission requests, including licensing our content for workshops or publications, email [email protected] with "Permission request" in the subject line.

6.3 Copyright complaints

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on the Website infringes your copyright, please email [email protected] with "Copyright complaint" in the subject line and include: identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on the Website; your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and your physical or electronic signature. We will review and respond to valid notices promptly.

7. User submissions and communications

When you submit our contact form, subscribe to our newsletter, send us an email, phone us or otherwise communicate with us (each, a "Submission"), you agree that:

  • the information you provide is accurate, and you are entitled to provide it, including any information about other people or your organization;
  • you will not include sensitive information such as passwords, one-time codes, full account or card numbers, tax file numbers, Social Security numbers or government ID numbers;
  • you will not submit anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, infringing, malicious or misleading, or any viruses or harmful code;
  • we may use your Submission to respond to you and as described in our Privacy Policy; and
  • we are not obligated to respond to every Submission, to provide services, or to keep confidential any unsolicited ideas you send us.

Feedback. If you send us suggestions, corrections, ideas or other feedback about the Website, our content or our services, you grant MR IT LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation or compensation to you. We welcome corrections and handle them as described in our Disclaimer & Editorial Policy.

Article feedback. The "Was this helpful?" feature on articles stores your answer only in your browser's localStorage to avoid asking you twice. It is not transmitted to us.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, you agree to receive our newsletter by email. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter or by emailing [email protected] with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to attempt to or assist anyone else to:

  • use the Website in violation of any applicable law or regulation, or to infringe anyone's rights;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Website or any related system, or breach security or authentication measures, except as permitted under a responsible disclosure arrangement agreed with us in writing;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Website, servers or networks, including through denial-of-service attacks, flooding, overloading or similar methods;
  • introduce viruses, malware, worms, Trojan horses or other harmful code;
  • use robots, spiders, scrapers or other automated means to access the Website at a volume or rate that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, or to collect content for redistribution, dataset creation or model training;
  • submit spam, automated or bulk form submissions, chain letters or unsolicited commercial messages through our forms;
  • impersonate MR IT LLC, any of our personnel or any other person, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization;
  • use the Website or our name to conduct phishing, fraud, scams or any deceptive practice, including pretending to offer services on our behalf;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Website or Tools, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction; or
  • use the Website in any way that could damage, disable or impair it or interfere with any other person's use of it.

Security research. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability on the Website, please report it to [email protected] with "Security report" in the subject line and give us a reasonable opportunity to fix it before disclosing it publicly. Please do not access or modify data that does not belong to you, degrade service or use social engineering while testing.

Scam warning. MR IT LLC will never contact you unsolicited to ask for passwords, one-time codes, remote access to your device or payment in gift cards or cryptocurrency. If someone claiming to represent us does so, do not respond, and report it to [email protected]. You can also report scams to the relevant authority where you live, for example Scamwatch (scamwatch.gov.au) in Australia or ReportFraud.ftc.gov in the United States.

The Website contains links to third-party websites and resources, including government agencies, software platforms and other publishers. We provide these links for convenience and reference only. We do not control, endorse or assume responsibility for third-party websites, their content, products, services, privacy practices or availability. Mentioning a platform or tool category in our content is not an endorsement, partnership or certification claim. Your use of any third-party website is at your own risk and subject to that website's terms and policies.

10. Services engagements

MR IT LLC offers IT services to clients in Australia and, remotely, in other countries, including personal finance automation, financial dashboards and analytics, small business accounting and payments integration, financial cybersecurity and fraud protection, fintech website and calculator development, and money and technology workshops (the "Services"). The descriptions of Services on the Website are general and do not constitute an offer that you can accept.

  • Separate agreement. Any Services we provide are governed by a separate written agreement, proposal or statement of work ("SOW") signed or accepted by you and MR IT LLC. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a signed agreement or SOW, the signed agreement or SOW controls for the Services it covers. Section 11 applies to every agreement and SOW.
  • Consultation and quotes. Engagements are scoped and quoted after a free consultation. A consultation does not obligate either party to proceed, and no fees are owed unless agreed in writing.
  • Account access. We do not access any account without your explicit written authorization, we use read-only access wherever the platform allows, and we never request or store your passwords or one-time codes.
  • No custody of funds. We do not hold, receive, transfer or control client funds, and we do not initiate payments on your behalf.
  • No investment, tax or legal advice. Services are technology services. They do not include investment, financial product, tax, accounting or legal advice, and we may recommend that you consult a qualified professional on those matters.
  • No guaranteed results. Subject to Section 11, we do not guarantee any particular financial outcome, savings, earnings or the prevention of all fraud or security incidents.

11. Australian Consumer Law and your non-excludable rights

Nothing in these Terms, our other policies or any agreement or SOW for Services excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law, being Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (the "ACL"), or by any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified (together, "Non-Excludable Rights"). If you are a consumer, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL.

Every disclaimer, exclusion and limitation in these Terms, including those in Sections 5, 10, 12, 13 and 14, applies only to the extent permitted by law and is expressly subject to this Section 11. If any provision of these Terms would otherwise have the effect of excluding, restricting or modifying a Non-Excludable Right, that provision is to be read down so that it does not have that effect, and is severed to the extent it cannot be read down.

Where the law allows our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee to be limited, and it is fair and reasonable to do so, our liability is limited, at our option, to:

  • supplying the services again; or
  • paying the cost of having the services supplied again.

This limitation does not apply where the law does not permit it, for example in relation to services of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use or consumption. If you are located outside Australia, you may also have rights under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live, and nothing in these Terms is intended to remove rights that those laws do not allow to be removed.

12. Disclaimers of warranties

SUBJECT TO SECTION 11 AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE WEBSITE, THE TOOLS AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY. SUBJECT TO SECTION 11, MR IT LLC EXCLUDES ALL WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS AND GUARANTEES THAT MAY BE EXCLUDED BY LAW, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY AND QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

Without limiting the foregoing, and subject always to your Non-Excludable Rights, MR IT LLC does not warrant that: (a) the Website or Tools will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; (b) content is accurate, complete, current or suitable for your circumstances or jurisdiction; (c) calculator results will match actual outcomes; (d) defects will be corrected; or (e) the Website or the server that makes it available is free of viruses or other harmful components. Financial rules, limits, programs and laws change and differ between countries, and content may become outdated after publication despite our efforts to keep it current.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or guarantees, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you. In that case, such warranties are limited to the minimum scope and duration permitted by law.

13. Limitation of liability

SUBJECT TO SECTION 11 AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL MR IT LLC OR ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, LICENSORS OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, SAVINGS, INVESTMENT RETURNS, DATA, GOODWILL OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE WEBSITE, THE TOOLS OR ANY CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND EVEN IF MR IT LLC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

SUBJECT TO SECTION 11 AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MR IT LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE WEBSITE, THE TOOLS OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS (AUD $100). Because the Website is provided free of charge, you agree that this limitation is reasonable. This cap does not limit any Non-Excludable Right, and where liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited as set out in Section 11. Liability for paid Services is governed by the applicable written agreement or SOW, which is also subject to Section 11.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, such as liability for fraud, or for gross negligence or wilful misconduct where the law prohibits such limitation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law and subject to Section 11, you agree to indemnify MR IT LLC and its members, managers, employees, contractors and agents against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal costs, arising out of or relating to: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the Website or Tools; (c) any Submission you provide; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, except to the extent the loss was caused or contributed to by our own negligence, breach or wrongful conduct. We may assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate reasonably with our defence of that claim.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to them or the Website (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the laws in force in New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require the application of the laws of another jurisdiction. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

You and MR IT LLC each irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts entitled to hear appeals from them. Nothing in this Section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer protection laws of the place where you live, to the extent those laws apply, or prevents you from making a complaint to a consumer protection regulator or applying to a tribunal that has jurisdiction over your claim.

16. Dispute resolution

We would much rather solve a problem with you directly than through a formal process. This Section describes the steps we both agree to take if a dispute arises out of or relating to these Terms, the Website or the Tools (a "Dispute"). Disputes relating to paid Services are governed by the dispute resolution provisions of the applicable written agreement or SOW, if it contains them, and otherwise by this Section.

16.1 Step one: informal resolution

Before starting mediation or court proceedings, the party raising a Dispute agrees to send the other a written notice describing the Dispute, the relief or outcome requested and the sender's contact information. Notices to MR IT LLC must be sent by email to [email protected] with "Dispute notice" in the subject line. You may also call us on 981-9418-5015 to discuss the issue, but please follow up in writing so we have a record. We will send notices to the email address you have used to communicate with us.

After a notice is received, both parties will try in good faith to resolve the Dispute for at least 30 days. This may include a phone call or video meeting at a mutually convenient time if either party requests it. We will acknowledge your notice promptly and respond to it in substance within that 30-day period.

16.2 Step two: optional mediation

If the Dispute is not resolved within 30 days after the notice is received, either party may propose that the Dispute be referred to mediation. Mediation is voluntary, and neither party is required to agree to it. If both parties agree to mediate:

  • the mediator will be an independent, suitably qualified mediator agreed by the parties;
  • the mediation will take place by video conference, or in person in New South Wales if both parties agree;
  • unless the parties agree otherwise, each party will bear its own costs and the mediator's fees will be shared equally; and
  • discussions and documents prepared for the mediation will be confidential and without prejudice, to the extent permitted by law.

16.3 Step three: courts of New South Wales

If the Dispute is not resolved through informal discussion, or through mediation if the parties agree to mediate, either party may commence proceedings in the courts of New South Wales or the courts entitled to hear appeals from them, as described in Section 15, or in any tribunal that has jurisdiction over the Dispute.

16.4 Urgent relief and your other rights

Nothing in this Section prevents either party from seeking urgent interlocutory or injunctive relief from a court, for example to stop actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights or misuse of the Website. Nothing in this Section limits your Non-Excludable Rights, your right to contact a consumer protection regulator, such as the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission or NSW Fair Trading, or the equivalent body where you live, or your right to bring a claim in a tribunal or court that has jurisdiction over it.

17. Suspension and termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Website. We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Website at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if your use creates security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the Website. This may include blocking IP addresses or ranges associated with abusive activity. You may stop using the Website at any time, and you may unsubscribe from our newsletter whenever you like.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 4 (Educational content), 5 (Calculators), 6 (Intellectual property), 7 (User submissions, including the feedback licence), 11 (Australian Consumer Law), 12 (Disclaimers), 13 (Limitation of liability), 14 (Indemnification), 15 (Governing law and jurisdiction), 16 (Dispute resolution) and 20 (General terms).

18. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use, disclose and protect personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and includes additional information for visitors from the EEA, the UK and the United States. Our Cookie Policy explains how we use browser storage. In short, the Website is a static site that does not use third-party analytics, advertising pixels or third-party cookies, and we receive personal information only when you choose to send it to us.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Website, our Services or the law. When we do, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable advance notice on the Website, such as a notice on the home page or this page. Changes will not apply retroactively, will not apply to a Dispute of which we had written notice before the change took effect, and will become effective on the date stated in the notice, or if none is stated, when posted. By continuing to use the Website after changes take effect, you agree to the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Website.

20. General terms

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the policies incorporated by reference, are the entire agreement between you and MR IT LLC regarding the Website, and supersede any prior agreements on that subject. A separate written agreement or SOW governs paid Services, subject to Section 11.
  • Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, unenforceable or unfair, that provision will be read down or enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and if that is not possible it will be severed, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
  • Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, or by operation of law, provided that doing so does not reduce your Non-Excludable Rights.
  • Force majeure. Subject to Section 11, we are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of hosting or internet providers, natural disasters, bushfires, floods, pandemics, acts of government, cyberattacks or labour disputes.
  • Relationship. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, agency or fiduciary relationship between you and MR IT LLC.
  • Electronic communications. You consent to receive communications from us electronically, and agree that electronic notices satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
  • Headings. Section headings and the plain-English summary are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
  • Export and sanctions. You may not use the Website in violation of any export control or sanctions laws that apply to you, including Australian sanctions laws.
