Financial Cybersecurity & Fraud Protection
We help households and small businesses harden the accounts, devices and everyday habits that stand between their money and fraudsters.

Overview
Lock down the accounts and devices that touch your money
Financial fraud rarely starts with a sophisticated hack. It usually starts with a reused password, a convincing text message, a phone call from someone pretending to be the bank, or an email account that was quietly taken over. Because email and phone numbers are used to reset bank and payment logins, securing them is just as important as securing the financial accounts themselves.
Our engagements focus on practical protection. We review your most important accounts and devices, prioritize the biggest risks and help you fix them: strong unique passwords stored in a password manager, multi-factor authentication using an authenticator app or passkeys where available, account alerts, credit freezes at the three nationwide credit bureaus, safer device and Wi-Fi settings, and a clear plan for what to do if something goes wrong. For small businesses we also look at payment approval workflows and invoice-fraud defenses.
We never ask for your passwords. You make changes on your own devices while we guide you, or we assist with explicit written authorization. MR IT LLC never holds client funds, does not provide investment advice, and does not access any account without your explicit written authorization (read-only wherever the platform allows). We do not perform penetration testing of third-party systems or promise that any setup is immune to fraud; our aim is to make you a much harder target.

FAQ
Financial Cybersecurity & Fraud Protection: common questions
Never. You type your own credentials while we guide you. Anyone who asks for your passwords or one-time codes, including someone claiming to be from a security company, should be treated as a likely scammer.
Yes. Under federal law, placing and lifting a security freeze at each of the three nationwide credit bureaus is free. We show you how to do it and how to temporarily lift a freeze when you apply for credit.
Contact your bank or card issuer immediately, then visit IdentityTheft.gov and ReportFraud.ftc.gov. We can then help you secure accounts and devices so the same route cannot be used again, but we cannot recover lost funds.
No one can honestly guarantee that. What we can do is remove the most common weaknesses and set up alerts and a response plan so problems are caught and contained quickly.
